Helping Women Recover Holistically
Holistic Recovery Designed for Women
Women face unique biological, social, and environmental factors that contribute to substance use.
Feelings of shame and guilt often prevent women from accessing much-needed support—even when the addiction is out of control—leaving women to suffer silently and feel isolated. As a person in long-term recovery, my goal is to support women towards healing and transformation. I specialize in the following areas…
Emotional Eating Recovery
An Integrative Approach…
As women, we face unique biological, social, cultural and environmental factors that can contribute to addiction as well as hinder us from seeking treatment.
Women have a variety of social and cultural pressures that are uniquely challenging to them. As mothers, nurturers, caregivers, and providers, we tend to put the needs of others before their own. As a result, women often delay seeking help.
Mounting research reveals that addiction is rarely if ever, a single dimension issue for women. Addiction is always a part of a larger portrait that includes a woman’s individual history, and the social, economic, and cultural factors that create the context of her life.
My Approach to Recovery
As an experienced recovery and health coach, I recognize the importance of addressing the multidimensional needs of women and believe recovery for women should be approached differently.
My whole-person approach to recovery encompass the mind, body and spirit. By helping my clients adopt a more balanced approach to life, they are better able to manage stress and regulate impulses and emotions, which is the aim of recovery.
In partnership with my clients, I help to create a comprehensive recovery program tailored towards their specific needs. I believe that the strength to heal and overcome addiction lies within each person.
Thus, I help to empower my clients to see their innate strength and to make choices beneficial to their recovery.

How it Works
Once you decide that recovery coaching is for you, I ask that you commit to a minimum of three months and that you make your scheduled appointments. Though it is not required, it is helpful if you are actively involved in a recovery program for added support.
Learning how to properly nourish the body is an essential component of recovering from substance use, as alcohol and chemical dependency can deplete the body of vital nutrients. Frequent use of drugs and alcohol can damage the digestive tract, inhibiting the body’s ability to absorb and use nutrients, which contributes to malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies.
A diet composed of whole, living, nutrient-dense foods, combined with high-quality dietary supplements, can help individuals in recovery repair and reverse this damage. As part of one’s recovery, I advocate a diet rich in nutrients to support the body’s natural healing process.
Nourishing oneself with healthy foods fortified with vital nutrients, enzymes, and vitamins can significantly reduce cravings and help stabilize mood swings during recovery.
I partner with my clients to customize a nutritional plan that best suits their bio -individual needs.
It is very common for those in recovery to try to take on too many things early in recovery. There is also a tendency for people to feel that they need to make up for lost time with family and friends, which can lead them to overextend themselves. Taking on too much during early recovery can easily backfire, potentially causing distress and relapse. My goal is to help you to minimize feelings of stress and overwhelm so that you can focus on your path to healing.
I am committed to providing you with practical tools to support you in effectively managing stress – whether you are experiencing stress related to recovery or other personal and professional issues. Numerous stress management activities are incorporated into your recovery program to help you with building resilience.
You will learn stress management strategies, including:
- Emotional regulation
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Relaxation techniques
- Meditation exercises
